The cross river state chairman of the joint national association of persons with disabilities (junad), who is also SSA to the Governor of cross river state on disability matters has expressed appreciation to the Governor, sir, Ben Ayade and the NDDC for the palliatives they have allocated to them to be shared among the physically challenged persons in different groups which includes the junad, the great minds, the great achievers and the NDDC coallation.

The SSA to the Governor on disability matters said that five bags of rice have been apportioned for each group of disabled people across the state and he frowned at the few and low quantity of palliatives given to them, insisting that they are inadequate as they need more than what they have gotten to enable them reach out appropriately to the disabled in the nook’s and crannies of cross river state.

The junad chairman expressed his dissatisfaction on the quantity of palliatives they have received, insisting that what they have received is below and differ from the information they have received on the palliatives that are supposed to be shared to them, but stated that they have accepted and appreciate the amount of palliatives given to them while they look further to receive the exact quantity that have been allocated to them.

The SSA iterated their appreciation to the Governor of cross river state, sir, Benedict Ayade for his magnanimity of remembering them as persons with disabilities who need the support of the Government to enhance their safe living in the society, while he appealed to NDDC to always remember them as much as they can, but requested that they do the needful of giving them supports and succor materials that will be sufficient and go round as well as be enough for the disabled people in cross river state.
