Manchester United legend and Wales manager Ryan Giggs has been arrested on suspicion of assaulting his girlfriend, according to reports.
Repoge from the Sun has it that, The Football Association of Wales issued a statement on Monday night confirming they are aware of an all station against Giggs.
Police were called to a £1.7million home in Worsley, Greater Manchester, on Sunday after reports of a “disturbance”,
Meanwhile Giggs on his statement has denied the allegations and is cooperating with police.
A statement by his Representative said: “Mr Giggs denies all allegations of assault made against him. He is cooperating with the police and will continue to assist them with their ongoing investigations.”
“Police were called at 10.05pm on Sunday to reports of a disturbance. A woman in her 30s sustained minor injuries but did not require any treatment,”. The paper quoted a statement from Greater Manchester Police as saying;
“A 46-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of section 47 assault and section 39 common assault”.
He was released on bail pending enquiries.
Football Association of Wales (FAW) issued a statement saying;
“The FAW is aware of an alleged incident involving the men’s national team manager Ryan Giggs,”. FAW spokesman said. “The FAW will be making no further comment at this current time.”
